Presidential Primary

Presidential Primary

Santorum is on TV a lot lately. We're not very fond of his politics, but he can be entertaining to watch. If I'm feeling masochistic.
Politics in general has been depressing me more often recently. Grumble.

Time to start working out

Swimming is a superb strategy to remain fit. Swimming burns calories but isn't hard on your joints the way impact sports (for instance running or cycling). If you don't have your own personal pool, some gyms give indoor and outdoor pools or you can join a community pool. You could also work with a private coach or take some classes to get useful swimming tips to make improvements to your swimming.

Get familiar with the fitness club's services and training offers. Most clubs give private trainers, weight training, workout equipment and various coaching classes. Some places even have swimming pools, saunas, inside tracks and present skilled massages. Make sure to use all the services you will need plus the club has to offer.

Swimming is a superb form of physical exercise and it does not put any stress on the body. When you swim you are working all of the muscles within your body giving your whole body a good relaxed workout. For anyone who is not used to swimming then it could take awhile to get used to it but you will come to enjoy it in time.

Before plunging right into the pool and beginning to swim, spend some time ducking yourself in and out of the water. Breathe in whilst you're on the surface and breathe out although you're under. This gives you time to adjust towards the water and your swimming will get pleasure from the positive aspects.

For anyone who is trying to workout extra, you do not have to spend hours on the treadmill. Try a brand new sport or brush up on unused skills. You can take tennis lessons, join a community basketball team, or take up swimming. Not merely will you discover something new, but your fitness level will increase and you might get social benefits also.

Doomsday Machine

My favorite episode of ST:TOS -- the Doomsday Machine.  I love the guy who plays Matt Decker, he is such a convincing lunatic.  Very heavy handed overacting, but that's part of what's great about Trek, right?

It's sad that so many of the old Star Trek actors have passed away.  That was such a wonderful show, and left such a terrific legacy.  It's really a shame that after the Great Bird died, the franchise was just milked to death and has now basically collapsed.

I miss Star Trek :(
